For the everyday miles — the ones nobody sees.

“I run when the body says stop.
I run when the hope runs thin.”

The Story

“In February 2023, I survived a large basilar aneurysm. Saving my life was only the beginning of learning how to lace up.”

The months that followed were rehabilitation — relearning to walk, relearning tasks I'd once done without thinking. Even tying my shoes became intentional again.

Then one day, I bought a new pair of walking shoes. Looking back, that was the day I made a decision. I wasn't just buying shoes — I was choosing to lace up on purpose.

We learn to tie our shoes when we're young, and it becomes so automatic we forget how meaningful it really is — until life unties us.

Brain aneurysm survivor. Advocate for showing up anyway — whatever your race.

We all have a race to run.

Mine wasn't 26.2 miles.

But I learned something along the way: the race may look different for each of us. What matters is the runner who keeps moving through it.

For some, the race is 26.2 miles. For others, it's recovery, grief, starting over, keeping a promise, or simply getting through the next hard day.

Different races. Same decision: keep moving anyway.

The Framework

LACES

When life knocks you down, LACES gives you a way to begin again.

Different races.
Same decision.

Keep moving anyway.
